Skibus München has been the expert for ski & snowboard trips to the Bavarian and Austrian Alps for almost 10 years. Enthusiastic winter sports enthusiasts can travel climate neutrally with the buses from three departure points in Munich to a total of six ski regions in Upper Bavaria and Tyrol. In addition to travel and meals, the offer already includes the ski pass for the respective ski area. Participants can thus literally start directly from the bus onto the slopes.
Skibus Munich also offers other winter sports services such as night tobogganing. Skibus Munich thus actively contributes to a reduction in travel to the ski resorts in the Alps.
The client needed a relaunch of the website to meet the growing content and graphic requirements of the target group. In addition, awareness of the services and special features of Skibus München was to be raised through several marketing measures such as social media, advertising and content generation.
The website was to be given a modern character and, by means of numerous services as well as a clear booking route, achieve a quick booking without large jumps.
The new Skibus Munich website, like all other websites in the Autobus Oberbayern universe, was set up in Pimcore. The system allows fast and high-performance projects and simple connections. The result of the relaunch is a clear, modern and graphically appealing website with a clearly defined user journey. The core element of the website is the detailed tour presentation of the individual ski areas including a downhill map and weather overview. Here, visitors can find out about the nature of the ski area, including special features and the complete piste plan. They can find the next runs and have an overview of the weather development and snow conditions in the destination area.
The integration of weather data as well as snow forecasts works via interfaces to the respective weather services. Since these points are crucial for winter sports enthusiasts, they are also listed in the header menu. There is also a filter function in the header for the exact display of the ski slopes. The entire website service is available bilingually.
To support the relaunch and to set seasonal peaks, Google Ads as well as Social Ads, i.e. ads in Facebook services as well as Instagram, were repeatedly used in a targeted manner. We also supported the client in community management and channel establishment in Facebook and Instagram. This also includes content creation for the respective posts. In order to make the services of Skibus Munich even more known to the target group, a large competition was carried out in cooperation with The Bakery Snowboards. For several weeks, the social media community could vote for a snowboard design. The winning design was built by The Bakery Snowboards.
The board was then raffled off among all participants of the voting. Both the survey and the raffle were graphically implemented and promoted by us. In order to inform the community regularly, individual videos of the manufacturing process as well as tutorials were posted. The individual posts ensure massive visibility on social media, especially among the important target groups.
The new website of Skibus München is high-performing, target group-oriented and clearly laid out. The description of the individual trips to the ski resorts, the focus on climate neutrality, the daily updated weather overview and the simple booking process ensure that the website is excellently received by the target group. Winter sports have never been so much fun.
