With over 100 years of experience, Autobus Oberbayern is the leading expert in passenger transport and transport logistics for major events in southern Germany. The services offered range from bus rental and scheduled services to day trips and transfers to events such as weddings, congresses, trade fairs and much more.
The client needed a relaunch of the website, which on the one hand reflected the many years of expertise in a modern way and on the other hand clearly highlighted the know-how in passenger transport. The brand was to be presented online in a new way and as a technical leader in the business field. Furthermore, a suitable function was sought to present the fleet of vehicles provided by the company. Due to the international orientation, the website had to be both responsive and multilingual.
Last but not least, a major focus was on simplifying the entire booking process.
The website was implemented with Pimcore to meet all requirements in terms of designs, functionality and performance. The relaunch resulted in a very modern and technically sophisticated website that fully focuses on the company's expertise in all matters of passenger transport and transport logistics.
The website is responsive and bilingual with an option for additional language versions. The large full-stage header immediately shows all the sectors in which Autobus Oberbayern is active and immediately links to the corresponding sub-pages. All important sectors are presented with appropriate graphics. These graphics always contain a direct reference to the company, either through their own photos or through edited stock photos.
The heart of the site is the bus price calculator, which provides clear and concise advice and greatly simplifies the booking process. Starting from the respective industry pages, the required number of persons, required time as well as the destination of the trip must be selected or specified. In the next step, the desired vehicle can be selected. The bus price calculator, which is equipped with CO2 compensation, calculates a suitable offer for the request.
The booking process is easy, comprehensible and takes all eventualities into account. Thanks to 3D graphics, for example, the selection of the appropriate vehicle is vividly supported. In addition to the calculator, there is another way of contacting the customer in the form of a chat.
In a special control hub, AOB staff can assign, check and edit each booking in detail. This area, which is only accessible internally, reduces the workload and facilitates the management of individual bookings immensely.
The contact persons for the respective areas are introduced with small moving image sequences, so-called video loops. On the one hand, this has a very dynamic effect and underlines the desired brand image of the company. On the other hand, the contact persons appear close.
Design, programming, graphics and content were all created centrally by DGTLS to guarantee a consistently high level.
With the new Pimcore-based solution, Autobus Oberbayern underlines its technical leadership in the business field of passenger transport. Various animation effects now convey the modern and progressive image of the company.
Furthermore, the new site is functional and user-friendly. The new customised booking process accommodates users and addresses all needs. Vehicle data is clearly presented with DeepL access to detailed descriptions and images.
Thanks to the new booking tool, the company now receives very high quality, precise enquiries and can now respond to customer requests much better than before.
